Dear Ozark Mountain Daredevils Fans and Friends,

WATCH OUT!  “IT’S ALIVE” --has just been released on CD for the first time.

It’s good to be able to write you once again.  We hope you are all doing well, and that life has been good.  We have some great things to announce, and something not so good as well.  Many of you who have visited the web site in recent times may already know of this, but we are sure that lots of folks don’t.    

It is with profound regret that we must inform you of the tragic loss of one of the band’s members.  On July 23, 2004 our longtime friend, companion, and lead guitar player, Bill Brown lost his life in a house fire in Springfield, Missouri.  Bill was a member of The Daredevils for nearly 15 years, and will always be in our hearts.  We appreciate your thoughts and concern as we carry on in the spirit of our friend.  As he would have wanted, we must move on and continue with the good things we try to do.

We have just completed the reissue of the 1978 “IT’S ALIVE” album to CD, and have received our stock here at New Era Productions!!  The CD package is of the same quality we have tried to maintain on the other albums we have released.  It includes the original track list, artwork, and the cool photo layout that was in the LP, plus a couple of extra photos.  The digital re-mastering was done from the Original Master Tapes.  We hope this is great news to all of you who we know waited a long time and have been requesting that this title be available.

The price of the “It’s Alive” CD is $16.00 including U.S. and Canadian Postage.  When purchased with any other merchandise item the ‘Special Price’ is only $14.00, including postage and handling.  (Please add $1.00 per item for all Credit Card Use.  Please add $4.00 per item for Overseas Shipment.)  We have the CD in stock, and you can order yours now!

Here’s some more news that will surely please most of you.  This year we were able to obtain the rights to the final A&M Studios Daredevils release, “Don’t Look Down”.  This title has also been requested by the fans enough that we know we should reissue it.  We are planning to release it in the Spring of 2005 if all goes well.  Also, this year we began conversation with SONY Corporation about the one album that the band did on the “Columbia”(now owned by SONY) label in 1980.  This self-titled work is little known by many of the fans and didn’t get a fair chance on the music scene in the `80s.  It is full of great songs and even a single hit or two. We are anxious to work out a deal with SONY to license the album and make it available to you as well.  We hope we can also do this one by late Summer in 2005.
